Mouse trap

I've pinched this off a social media site as its very apt.

We have mice in either our shed or the greenhouse (despite having a cat!). For several days now my OH has been trying to trap the latest one. Despite all sorts of tricks, the mouse (or some other unknown creature) has been taking the bait and leaving the trap untriggered. He loads it with peanut butter and even adds a few bird seeds. Whatever it is is playing games as the trigger is very sensitive but even the seeds have been taken out the butter and the trap is still in place.

Re: Mouse trap

Part of me would be worried about coming face-to-face with whatever if lifting stuff off a trap

Ooooooh yes Jimmy, good idea. I'm sure we've got one of those in the loft.

So would I Karen - I am not going anywhere near!

Re: Mouse trap

For goodness sake, let us know when you do trap it - I want to know what this clever creature is.

Re: Mouse trap

Will do. Part of me though doesn't want it to be trapped as its being very clever and should be allowed to live.

Is it a giant spider?
Oh dear, you've got me feeling sorry for it too

I'm starting a campaign to save the creature

Re: Mouse trap

You can get humane mouse traps if you don't want it killed.

Re: Mouse trap

The clever little chap deserves to live, but then again he might father some even smarter mice and then where would you be?
