Same here, Muddy. I can be a real trashmouth at times, but only in the appropriate places, lol.

And I guess this means my son and his dad are two of the most intelligent people on earth

Me, I must be just semi-intelligent. I cuss a lot sometimes, but I don't stay up that late, even on weekends, and I like things neat and organized. Sometimes. I'm known for occasionally leaving clothes on my bedroom floor and I never make my bed.

The noisy foul-mouthed people that we hear while out and about are really intelligent people?

Further, those who don't swear, are quieter, go to bed before midnight and tidy around the home are less intelligent people? Hmm! I'd rather be like that than be an 'intelligent' potty-mouth. If this indicates that I'm less bright than some people, so be it.

Sure, I swear once in a while. There are some words that are made for when things go wrong or when you hit your thumb with a hammer. I'd never use swearwords in normal conversation though.

Knowing many different swear words isn't the same as using them in everyday speech - isn't the writer of the article intelligent enough to understand the difference? Apparently not.

Nah! For some, relating those traits to intelligence will just be an excuse for carrying on with being an over-talkative, swearing and messy sort of person.
