slimming club

Went to weigh in this morning , glad to say still at target weight. While waiting to weigh in , I looked around at all the people, at least 100 all on a slimming plan which works well if you stick to healthy eating , I noticed all the different shapes and sizes. No one had what seems to be the perfect shaped body as we see on the TV and magazines . On there they are always stunning and attractive without an ounce of fat , look wonderful in their clothes and perfect skin . All these lovely people look ordinary , small , large , body fat on many , all like me trying to have the perfect figure ( or I used to try) . Now I'm just happy that I can wear my clothes and feel good for myself .

Why is it those on the t v and magazines look so perfect, yet we ordinary people are just .....well ordinary !

Susan you can't believe that which you see in the media anymore, so many people have been airbrushed , botoxed, nipped, tucked and liposucked

I am just happy I can still get out of bed in the morning and have most of my own teeth

My 3 adult children could 'eat for Britain', but are all slim and fit. Mrs. G and me have to work hard to maintain a 'healthy' size and weight. It's just not fair.

As for "celebrities", I remember a colleague once commenting, "Look at her, there's more fat on a plate of chips".

Re: slimming club

Not sure what 'look' the young women of today are aiming for? I was just asked politely where a day farm was on my run. Young woman in a nice car but with a kind of orange face, heavy eyelids (mascara?) and big pouting lips. I mean as soon as I saw her I thought of some of the porn stars I have seen; eh, well I have had a peak now and then . Quite a nasty look to be honest yet underneath I'm sure she was nice enough.

Getting back on topic ... she looked slim enough but her chops would put anyone off I would have thought even if her body was spot on.
