How long do you keep records of paper transactions?
I have just been through mine and found records of my camera insurance going back 2 years. Umpteen sheets of conditions attached on each year, now my box file contents are a lot smaller
I try not to keep any apart from strong legal documents - most of which are held by our lawyer. I keep all copies of letters, documents, receipts for bills paid on line or scanned into folders on my computer. So not long until they go to the shredder.
I still have wage slips, car rego, electric, water and phone bills from decades ago as well as supermarkets receipts from a couple of years ago - problem with those is that they go blank after a while.

You can throw them in the loo - the ink is usually soluble so washes off.
