ECCO Shoes

Does anyone wear ECCO shoes?

I had a couple of pairs a few years ago, and I liked them - very comfortable, and modern design

But on both pairs the soles wore out very quickly
I see from Internet reviews that this is a common problem with them

Does anyone know if they are any better now?

Re: ECCO Shoes

I had a pair which were very comfortable, probably the most comfortable shoes I had ever had. Unfortunately, one day, the soles just sort of fell off as though they had been removed by a tyre fitter.

Not cheap either.

Don't know them, I'll Google it and find pics

I wear Skechers myself, very comfortable.

Re: ECCO Shoes

I tried some on once and, although they seemed comfortable, they were far too wide for me. The shoe shop assistant didn't think they came in different widths. Plus a lot of the feminine ones fasten with velcro which comes unstuck as you walk.

That has been my experience, and judging from reports on The Net & YouTube, for a lot of people

This is a shame, as they are very comfortable, and the uppers seem to be well made

Yes, they are expensive, but that wouldn't be so bad if the damn things lasted

I like Hotter's and they do come in different widths - and they last well!

Re: ECCO Shoes

Thanks for the reminder about Hotter shoes, I hadn't considered them much till now
They seem to have a similar range to ECCO, and a bit cheaper.
They have a store not too far from me, in Bury, so I'll have a look

I have found this company - www.solesaver.co.uk

I'll give them a ring and see if they can repair ECCO shoes with damaged soles
