A Close Escape.

Hi

These people were very lucky.

It rather puts Mups' garden wall to shame.

That is awful! The ground doesn't appear to be slippy, it is on a housing estate ( where there will be a 30mph limit) but the car has managed to go through a hedge of bushes , though the wall and right onto their lounge.
I wonder what speed the driver was doing and whether he had drink or drugs before driving!

Thank god that Mups accident didn't cause so much damage!

Awful. There's a house near where my husband grew up they actually had to put a solid bollard and extend a bit of pavement to stop lorries ploughing into their kitchen, I think it happened about a dozen times before they took precautions.

I hope they find out why it happened first could have been ill or had a heart attack or something. Not always a druggie.

Oh that poor family. Even after their injuries have healed and the building sorted the memories will be with them for a long time.

Yes, I imagine it will be difficult to sit there without thinking a car is about to come through the wall.

Re: A Close Escape.

Blimey, that must have been very frightening, those poor people.
That driver must have been going at a helluva speed to up the kerb, cross the pavement, drive through the hedge, across the garden and still keep going still with enough power to smash through into their home as well.

That could have so easily happened here the first time about 3 years ago. That driver went off the road, across next doors garden - knocking down a 30ft conifer - over a small dividing wall and ended up with his front two wheels on my car roof. If my poor car hadn't taken the brunt, he'd have come into my living room instead.
They locked him up, but let him out early. The first day after his release he murdered someone. He is now back inside.
