Harry and Mavis Stevenson

I didn't know this couple but felt that their story should
be shared.
They were a couple who lived in Derby, England and
were married for 65 years.
Mavis had to go in a care home as she wasn't very well
so Harry went with her even though he could have stayed
at home.
The other week Mavis passed away in their room and they
broke the news to Harry. He said he wanted to be alone
with her and when the Nurses came to see him a few minutes later
he also had passed away with her on the bed.
They say true love never dies and I feel that this story
is so moving. Harry was 88 and Mavis was 89.
My Uncle and Auntie died within 2 days of each other
over 20 year ago and I knew that once my Uncle had
died that my Auntie would not be able to cope as he
did everything for her.
RIP Harry and Mavis

they were obviously meant to be together forever, God works in mysterious ways and the end was meant to be so that Harry didn't have to suffer the loss of his loving wife, happily re united in paradise
