Happy Wednesday Folk.

The river Nene at Islip taken yesterday.
A hospital appointment this morning to have a long-lived sore behind my ear checked out.This afternoon a pub lunch with some of my old workmates.

Good morning everyone, frost free and dry here, the gods must be smiling on us.

If the weather holds mild I have some fruit bushes to move around, and a couple of new gooseberry bushes to find room for.

Good morning. Colder today, more frost or is that snow?

Food delivery already arrived and put away in fridge/freezer.

Off to Work!

Some of you might recall that had volunteered at Queen Street Mill, an old cotton mill that is now preserved as a museum
I started yesterday, doing two days a week, but the hours for volunteers ate short, 10-30 till 4, including dinner & afternoon tea break

Another volunteer started at the same time. We are cleaning old looms that are caked in dried grease & cotton dust. A bit tedious but satisfying, and there is no pressure to work at a fast rate
The full time staff and volunteers are pleasant and friendly enough
So, this is my second day, and then I'll go again next week

Good morning everyone .... Nice picture Alan.

I'm going to enjoy today. I'm having lunch with some ladies I met on a coach tour. Lots of gossip as we haven't seen each other since before Christmas...
Nothing else much planned but after an afternoon of food and wine I don't think I'll feel like doing much....
