A superb night out!

Just come home from having a meal out with friends. We went to the 'Yak and Yeti' - a Gurkha restaurant. Never been before but will certainly go again. It is quite a small place as restaurants go, beautifully decorated, and was absolutely packed. Fortunately we had booked.

It is owned and run by a Gurkha family and serves Nepalese food - a cross between Indian and Chinese. It was truly delicious. Even though it was so busy they were turning people away we were not rushed at all. We felt welcomed and wanted - certainly it is now on our list for a future visit.

Gurkha always makes me think of gherkins. I wonder if they are on the menu....

It makes me happy whenever I see that you've had a day or a night out.

The first time I tried Nepalese food was in Moscow. The staff wore traditional dress and the food was heavenly.

What dishes did you try?
