Alan Titchmarsh

So Alan Titchmarsh has had thoughts about standing for parliament apparently. He said he feels no affiliation for any particular party though, so would have to stand independently.

He gave a list of 20 tongue-in-cheek manifesto pledges, some of which are as follows:

1. Year round Poldark
2. £100 levy for using Facebook
3. A ban on wire coat hangers
4. Anyone caught throwing litter out of a car should spend a week working at the local tip.
5. If you chop down a tree, you have to replace it with five more.
6. All children from 5 - 18 should have lessons in nature and gardening.

We could do alot worse!

Re: Alan Titchmarsh

I think quite a few of those are do able. Not only that I actually understand his manifesto.

Re: Alan Titchmarsh

I used to be madly I'm love with him when he did Gardener's World but gone off him slightly now he doesn't get his hands dirty. I don't like his charging for Facebook idea, I enjoy that and wouldn't be able to pay that much, it would isolate a lot of people who use it for social interaction. Selfish idea! He should stick to planting!
