Morning Alan, Pats el al...

First tomato eh Alan, mine are starting to turn but won't be ready for a week or so yet methinks.

I'm busy this morning clearing away an old greenhouse that I've demolished for our neighbour, so I'm hoping the sun won't be too fierce...

Have a great day folks

Re: Happy Tuesday Folk.

Good morning all, a bit hazy outside but very warm already. Oh what I'd give for a decent tomato like the ones we used to get, none of your half inch thick skin and no juice, the real ones had thin skin and were filled with juice, you could eat them like an apple and you didn't need salt, dont know where the wife gets hers but I cant eat them anymore, they're horrible. I hope you are all well.
Take care Folks.

Re: Happy Tuesday Folk.

Good morning all, another hot day here.
I'm going to the shops later, replenishing things for my first aid box, buying a voucher and a look around the £ shop.
Hubby is making bread while I'm out rather him than me in this heat!
Wish you better Meg .. good weather for potty training
Have a good day everyone.

Re: Happy Tuesday Folk.

Good morning all, another lovely day (stating the obvious?)

I remember when I was at work about 50yrs ago, there used to be a chap come round with greengrocery for sale, I could buy some cherry tomatoes, and sit eating them like sweets, they were lovely.
Why are the ones we buy so tasteless these days, even the ones I buy on the vine aren't all that good, although they smell nice when you take them off.
However, in Romania this year, the ones that were bought were more like the home grown taste.

Morning everyone
Glorious weather, so love it
Alan that will take a lot of spray to keep his hair like that
Hope your feeling better soon Meg
don't get too hot taking that greenhouse down plantman
Proper tomatoes that taste of something, cannot remember the last time we had those. Is it because they force grow them now do you think.
Enjoy your day

Re: Happy Tuesday Folk.

buenas dias all. Another hot, noisy day here, big machines and road drills banging around. We'll all be very glad when the new pipes are in and the men move off to another area. The bulk of the work should be done within the next 3 days we are told and they are working very hard shovelling, digging etc, they are also a friendly and polite crowd of workmen, so we can't complain. It's quite funny watching people trying to remember where they've parked their cars, all cars had to be removed off the roads they are working on at any one time. It's a bit like "hunt the thimble" but in this case it's "hunt the car".

Have a nice day everyone.

Re: Happy Tuesday Folk.

Good morning all

Did the shopping early so it was reasonable quick getting through the check-outs ..... nothing worse than queues on a hot day

Meg, hope you get rid of that virus soon, can't be nice in this hot weather Good luck with the potty training, and ideal time in this weather to make it into a game where Hannah can run nappy-free in the garden with the potty close by.

Enjoy your day folks!
