Visitor Tuesday

Good morning everyone

Something must be happening today as several birds were up singing, the farm was noisey and the large lumps of metal going across the sky were in abundance. It is dark damp and coolish with a breeze coming in from the sea which could make things a lot colder.

Plans for today are a relaxing morning doing nothing, lunch at some establishment before an afternoon of visitors which could drift on into the evening.

Have a great day everyone and spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourself.

Re: Visitor Tuesday

Well the rain finally came last night but luckily it has cleared up again today and it is dry but cold.
Took a brisk walk this morning and cleared away the cobwebs.
Enjoy your day

Morning everyone. Overcast but mild here this morning with a gentle breeze and 12deg. on the thermometer.

Plumbers rearranged all the pipes in the bathroom yesterday ready for the plasterer and tiler today, so another day of noise and dust in prospect... No doubt all be worth it afterwards...

Macaroni cheese for lunch today and I'll be carting rubbish to the tip this afternoon, no rest for the wicked eh.....

Have a good day all.

I know the feeling having had a new kitchen and I want to get my bathroom done next year as well. Just not looking forward to managing without a shower while it gets sorted but no pain no gain I guess

Re: Visitor Tuesday

Good morning everyone a little rain overnight followed by a lovely sunny autumn day.

Barry rather you than me I hate people working in the house after a few bad experiences. Having my new kitchen fitted was a nightmare, the fitters made a complete mess of things flooding the kitchen and setting fire to the wall with a blowtorch (Magnet and Southern).
A few weeks late a plumber fitter a new bathroom wash basin and flooded the bathroom spoiling a newly decorated wall in the kitchen .

I would keep a close eye on your workmen

Enjoy your day fellow members..

Thanks Meg, but I'm hoping that it won't be too bad as I'm using people recommended by friends and neighbours who have had work done, but fingers crossed anyway...

Re: Visitor Tuesday

Hello!

More cloud around today but still plenty of sunny intervals. I really must get on with planting the rest of my bulbs this afternoon before the weather changes.

AB, I hope you've recovered from your aches and pains now, take things easy.

Barry, your bathroom will look lovely when it's finished and all the noise and dust will soon be forgotten..

Enjoy your day!

Re: Visitor Tuesday

Hi people. Over here it's a lovely Autumn morning: brilliant sun and mildish for this time of year: 15℃ (56℉) a bit after 11 a m. Sat out front on one of the benches in the sun opening mail before I got the grass; had dropped off a donation book at the library earlier. That's my exciting day so far!

Barry, hope it does go well; what a mess now, though.... I too hate workmen in the house disrupting everything ...

Re: Visitor Tuesday

Good afternoon all, it seems the floods in Dublin were a lot worse than I thought, I hadn't been out last night but when I looked at the news today it was bad. A whole Months rain fell in 24 hours leaving 2 dead and millions of Euro's worth of damage, cars were abandoned and it was impossible to get into the City centre. The rain has stopped now and the big cleanup is underway.
Hope you are all nice and dry Folks.
