A Hairy Situation

I went for a hair cut the other day and its funny how our hair grows on our heads, it seems to have no limits as to how long it can get. Can you just imagine if we didn't cut it ? No doubt, we all would be a walking hair ball.

Truth of the matter is, our hair is an intrinsic part of our personality. The strength of Samson seemed to rely on how long and how abundant his hair was. The day it was cut, was the day he became a weakling. So our hair for some can become our ego trip.

As I shave every morning and I contemplate the reflection of myself in the mirror, realizing how slowly but surely I am gradually loosing the hair on my head. And this new reality takes me back to my youth and my obsession with my hair. Today though, despite the thinness on the top of my head, I can confidantly say that hair transplants or expensive hair rugs are not an option. Its all about acceptance. Because having more or less hair doesn't really change who I am. It only makes for a hairy situation,

I think I would prefer it if everyone was bald. I certainly don't think my strength lies in my hair or amount of it - the opposite in fact as it can weaken me having to consider it.

Indeed.. the idea is, if you grow a beard, it sort of distracts from your bald head. I guess more or less it has to do how a man focuses his life

Re: A Hairy Situation

Hair would be the last thing to bother me but you’d be surprised how many men are sensitive about losing their hair, even old men. Baldness can look great on a good head and them that has bad heads can always wear nice hats/caps, wigs are a dead loss on any man, hair shouldn’t be a problem with men but unfortunately with some it is and bogus hair replacement companies can clean up on that.
I knew a girl back in the time of the hippies and she wouldn’t cut her hair, it was way down her back, lovely long flowing red hair. she was one to those ‘Save the everything’ girls and she used to say that every time a hair is cut it bleeds, poor hair, can’t have that now can we, bleedin’ hair.

Good point, most men realize that when you start growing bald, the famous " comb over" is ridiculous. Best as you say, just shave it all off.
