Advice needed

This was secretly squeezed into my friends hand in our local by a lady in a wheelchair who is deaf.
Her carer Kenny brings her into the pub most days.
We don't know them personally only to nod and smile whenever we see her.

It would seem that her carer is ripping her off....we don't know if he is a close relation of hers or not.But it does seem to be a serious call for help.

Who can we pass this information on to??

Re: Advice needed

Police, immediately.

She may well be in fear of this man or possibly a bit confused but you'll never know unless you act.

Yes I agree.
You have to tell the police so they can get to the bottom of it.

Police immediately definately ....this lady is a very vulnerable adult and needs to be properly looked after .

Poohdog, I agree with the others! I know it puts you in a difficult position but if the lady is mistaken or not thinking clearly, the police will be discreet. If she isn't then you would never forgive yourself if you did nothing and then saw something in the newspaper about it.

Re: Advice needed

Yes, someone should be alerted to look into the matter.
The thing is, Kenny will deny it and say she gave him the money for helping her or that she's making it up. It will be her word against his, unless there is a record of it and it wasn't just cash.

That is a good idea Nom, they may be able suggest somebody who could speak to her alone, without raising any suspicions from her carer.
