I know what you mean some things stay with you...Re: Things yousee as a child but never forget.
HiRe: Things yousee as a child but never forget.
Going to North Weald aerodrome with my parents. I was about 10 years old and the sight and sound of an English Electric Lightning flying low along the runway, then going up vertically, right in front of us, was awesome. The noise, vibration and sight of those twin engines is something that I will never forget.Re: Things yousee as a child but never forget.
Being on the common in the late 1950's with my two sisters and a man alerted us to a cow in the next field giving birth to a calf. We looked at the cow and then turned round, to see the man was doing rude stuff to himself! Shock, Horror!Re: Things yousee as a child but never forget.
Two nuns swooping down our front steps like ravens, my mum making me show them how well I could read. I "read" "Here Comes Little Noddy" I think it was called.Re: Things yousee as a child but never forget.

Before my parents died, I had only one specific baby recollection. When they each passed, a load more came back to me vividly as part of the grieving process.Re: Things yousee as a child but never forget.
I think things that have traumatised you as a child stay with you. There are a couple of things I don't like to think of even now to do with dead animals.
