The Weather

Hi

Strange times, gone from wild to calm, sun to cloud, dry to wet.

It is now hammering down, one inch deep wet spots on the lawn.

This is a very strange start to the Spring.

My start to the gardening year has not gone well, my polytunnel is just a frame, cover has gone walkabout in the gales.

It's presently around the vernal equinox. There's always disturbed weather and as for snow, I've occasionally even seen snow June.

Far from being a strange start to spring it's typical for spring - unpredictable.

Similar weather here also, so far from you, Swimfeeders. Was very windy last night too. During the last windy weather I propped a very heavy iron dragonfly garden ornament against & through the legs of my bird table as it had blown over in the wind. This worked & it is still upright.

Isn't the saying: March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb?

It's certainly living up to that so far this month!

Re: The Weather

It's been windy here for a few days now. It's a cold wind today, and it was bad during the night too.

We are having rain on and off and hail/sleet mixed in with it. We had quite a hailstorm yesterday too with the 'stones' bouncing everywhere.

It's a nuisance because there are a lot of things outside I should be doing and jobs are piling up. Let's hope tomorrow will be better.

Re: The Weather

Changed from blue sky and sunny this morning to non-stop rain this afternoon.

It is English weather after all!

To add: Everything looks white out now, just had a heavy fall of big hail stones!

Yep, that's the saying. Along with
"March winds and April showers
Bring forth May's beautiful flowers".

Our patio has just had a shot blasting from a 15minute hail storm.
