Overwhelmed by everything .

Do you ever get overwhelmed by everything ?
At the moment I am feeling no matter how fast I run I am standing still.

I have paperwork all over the house .
The garden is growing at the rate of knots and I can't keep up.
Everything is a mess .
And I'm tired just thinking about it .
I want to run away from it all .

Need a glass of red .

Muddy focus on doing one thing at a time blocking other things from your mind.

That way all will eventually get done.

Make a list Muddy in order of priority.
I hate having things on my mind and when it gets too much I tend to pour a bottle of beer then start one of the tasks and invariably carry on until it's all done.

Meg is correct. That is what I did when working for BT, they wanted me in 6 different places all at once, or so it seems. In the end I did and completed one job before starting the next, and let the customers just scream at the management. Not my problem

Muddy,

I Suggest that you get a sexy slave in, to do all the work, so that you can concentrate on the more relaxing jobs.

He should be able to get it all cleared up after a couple of years!

I'd lend you mine but she's got a puncture.

Thank you everyone for your kind advice -I do make to do lists ....but then I lose them.......

I quite like the slave idea or perhaps a latter day Jeeves !

Two years is a bit optimistic .....

Re: Overwhelmed by everything .

Muddy here is a suggestion that may help.

We all get involved with discussions on the forum & it is so easy to push other things to one side. I bet a lot of us have done this from time to time, so here is how I deal with it.

I don't allow myself to come on here until I have completed an important job. It may take a couple of days to get it done, but then I can allow myself to join discussions without feeling bad about the jobs I haven't got round to.

It is a bit like a punishment and then reward system, but I promise you that you will feel much better, when the pressure of the jobs not done is removed. Give it a try and see how you go!
