Freezing until getting into bed.

I keep one room warm during the day. At night, though I find myself absolutely freezing whilst undressing and I get no relief until I'm actually in bed.

Is anyone the same? or is it just my cancer? Then, after an hour or so I'm back to being too hot.

Why not get undressed in the warm room then make a dash for the bedroom?

Re: Freezing until getting into bed.

I had that problem when I was on chemo ffosse, my husband bought me a heated thingy like this https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5459254?cmpid=GS001&_$ja=tsid:59157|acid:480-316-7430|cid:199887993|agid:17470555473|tidla-339522995452|crid:74692316793|nw:g|rnd:59295716223 1348743|dvc:c|adp:1o1|mt:|loc:9045839&gclid=EAIaIQ obChMI3IHQyNLC3wIVGZzVCh3lKAvjEAQYASABEgJUmvD_BwE

which along with a fleece blanket became my refuge from the cold.
It was middle of the summer so putting the heating on wasn't a choice.

I used to change into my pjs in the bathroom where we have a fan heater, then mad dash into bed where my husband had put a hot water bottle or three.

I recommend that boot thingy as I found having warm feet helped me keep warm all over.

I hope you find a way to stay warm.

I've started wearing socks in bed which helps. And if I wake during the night it's usually not so bad.

Same here, our bedroom gets cold very quickly. I am planning on changing the rad for a double.

Re: Freezing until getting into bed.

Even with a new rad my bedroom is freezing by the window. I’m considering contacting a company that installs secondary glazing. On very chilly evenings I have to switch on a portable convector heater.

Couldn’t be without my leccy blanket.

Re: Freezing until getting into bed.

Pauline makes a valid point. Due to her leukaemia and resultant treatments which killed off her red blood cells as well as the excessive white cells, my wife was always cold no matter if the heating was on full blast or not.

Are you eating correctly? The act of eating raises your body temperature and so should give you some respite.
