Re: Monarch go Bust.
Watching BBC Breakfast, they waited till 4am to break the news when no planes were in the skies, as they had no licence to operate. Felt sorry for those passengers waiting at the airport, with their flight time impending, to be told this news. They just had leaflets handed out to them. The lady on the show said her taxi driver was half way home and turned back on her phone call, to collect them.Re: Monarch go Bust.
One of our worst flights was on Monarch. We booked to fly to the States and four hours into the flight my son said "We are turning", then came the announcement that there was an engine problem and we would be landing at Shannon. A while later it was announced that we would be landing at Gatwick instead. Later still, they announced that we were going to land at Luton! On approach we could see the fire engines and ambulances waiting for us and they escorted us along the runway. We then sat in Luton airport for eight hours whilst they tried to find another aircraft. No food vouchers, no apologies nor explanations. Never again with Monarch.Re: Monarch go Bust.
