Chinese Fortune Cookies

Have you ever gotten an exceptionally funny fortune? Most of the fortunes I get are really dull and stupid, but a couple of them were so funny that I kept the fortunes and tacked them to my kitchen board. They read...

"You can never run away from yourself. You are always right behind you."

(yeah, thanks for the reminder, chum)

And this one is my favorite...

"Ignore previous cookie."

Best one I ever got

Re: Chinese Fortune Cookies

We don't have fortune cookies in the UK as a general rule, they are an American thing that has never really been adopted here

Oh, that's too bad. Some of them are downright hilarious. Maybe that's why the UK has fortune cookie generating sites where you can read a daily fortune or even create your own

Re: Chinese Fortune Cookies

We do have fortune cookies in the UK, ive had a few myself but cant remember what they said. They are not common, and i tended to view them in the same vein as the messages / jokes inside Christmas crackers, a harmless bit of fun.

Re: Chinese Fortune Cookies

Yeah, I got some Chinese for lunch at work today and my fortune said "What you will discover will be yourself."

Great. I'm not sure I want to discover myself. And, truthfully, if I haven't discovered myself by now, I probably never will.
