Is it time I grew up?

Having read the 'Obituries' and 'you can't take it with you' threads got me thinking about my future(at 51)

My dad died at 52 and my grandad at 53 and I'm now 51.

I don't have much in the way of savings or a private pension though I won't be skint as I have money invested elsewhere.

I've had a good life....I've been good, I've been bad, I've been nice and I've been nasty but haven't we all?

I've been close to death twice and I've seen the Devil, he was shouting "go back Terry, I don't want you here you're a troublemaker"

My kids have been looked after well and will be when I'm gone.

My experiences and the history of males dying young have made me live for the day which is a little immature, I suppose.

So, should I carry on being immature or grow up?

Don't grow up tpin, stay as young in mind as you can, it's much more fun that way.

No. Don't grow up mate. My dad is 76 now but when we get together we are still like two 10 years olds and we love it. Growing up just makes you miserable.

Depends, if you want to spend a whole life in one phase, say. like creating an ambience for example.

The trick is knowing when to come off hold, and let it go, then resume the journey.

Don't listen to advice or mimic behaviour, see, the kids in my class arsed around, so I joined in and ignored academia, but secretly, they were studying, and are now pillars of the community, whilst I continued the tomfoolery, so now they are the pillars, and I am a girder under the Co-op.

Never ever accept age and grow old. Once you do, all is lost and your grave is automatically booked!

No need to grow up, Tpin. I never have. Young at heart is the answer.
