Just idle curiosity

I was just wondering today, if you were marooned on a desert island, would you prefer your only companion to be a male or female?

Though I prefer my own company I would feel spooked alone on an island, unless it's one of those cartoon ones with barely room to lie down and a single palm tree in the centre!!

But I would go for a male, as Celyn pointed out for the practicalities.
