Good customer service....

Last week I was shopping in Lidl and paid with my credit card - you can do this in Scotland. I then went to Tesco and tried to pay with the same card, but it was declined so i paid with another card. I assumed this was a problem with the Tesco system since it was OK in Lidl.

Next day, I has an email from the credit card company apologising for a problem that caused my card to be declined.
Today, I received my monthly bill brom the credit card company, and this contained another apology and £10 as compensation for any inconvenience.

If they hadn't said anything, I would have assumed that it was simply a glitch. Anyway, my bill was £10 less. Every little helps, as Tesco says

Good for you George, it's nice to get something back in this day and age.
Don't drink it all in the one pub.

Re: Good customer service....

Good things do happen sometimes. My son was walking around the town where he works and was approached by a young lady who asked him if he was prepared to take part in market research for which he would be paid. He agreed and was taken to an opticians premises which had just been revamped. He was asked what he thought about the refurbishment , he told them his views, was given £40 and he went on his way. Good eh !
