Child protection Services

On the news this morning bloody Cameron and his ilk now want to privatise child protection services. I wonder how many back-bench Tory MPs have shares in or actually own companies that would profit by this privatisation???

Seems the Tories may have a new mantra: If it moves, exploit it, if it doesn't move - privatise it.

I think the idea is, when children die through neglect, the government can't be blamed.

I agree Patsy, this opens the way for the wrong people working in that sector.

Re: Child protection Services

If Cameron wants it then im against it, the clown came to the North East yesterday and told us how well we are doing up here, despite the fact our region was the only one in the country where unemployment went up. Privatisation has done nothing except raise prices and provide a worse service.

Transport, Utilitys, Security, Atos.

Unemployment is not falling anywhere - its a giant con. They have bullied and harassed people from claiming their benefit entitlements, created nothing but zero hours contract non jobs, or made people opt for 'self employment. Real jobs - with living wages, and job security are almost non existent. Don't be fooled by the Tories (and UKIP are Tories if you actually take the time to look at their policies apart from xenophobia, homophobia misogyny etc). This lot are worse than Thatcher.

Well it could hardly be worse than local government doing the job, remember Sharon Shoesmith ?

The only difference is that after the local council sacked her she was able to claim 'unfair dismissal' and get a nice compensation package, whereas any one in the private sector will probably have to sign an undertaking that they won't do that (if they are sacked).

The Labour Tory party is just as keen on privatisation as the Tory and LibDem Tory parties - and, of course, privatisation has done such a good job elsewhere in the economy (NOT!).
Companies like ATOS, Group4 Securities (who had to change their name to G4S because of all the scandals attached to their old name) have contributed greatly to the socioeconomic downfall of the UK - and don't get me started on the water companies..........

Yes Patsy darlin'!!! - check out my MP - Caroline Lucas - the 'Green' MP for Brighton Pavilion Constituency. A better choice than UKIP.
