I love Flowers

Since moving to Oregon I can't help noticeing that there are flowers everywhere. The grocery stores, home centers & nurseries are crawling with them. The light poles along the sidewalks have huge hanging planters with flowers hanging over the edges. What a wonderful place to live!

I regularly photograph flowers at the stores as they're right out in the open & free to photograph. I also love the Portland Rose Garden & Portland Japanese Garden. I often go alone so I can take my time getting my fill.

Gorgeous colours Bob. I bet your camera gives you colours that are true to life? I am always a bit disappointed with the colour from mine.

Re: I love Flowers

Just imagine walking into a place like this, The Portland Rose Gardens, with over 150 species of just roses to photograph. It's Nirvana! This whole state of Oregon is one huge garden. I rode 100 miles East yesterday and went from forests & rivers to high desert country. It's unspoiled open country. I feel like a kid in a candy store and a dollar in my hand.

By the way this photo only covered a very small portion of the garden. It's actually 20 times bigger than what I could get into one photo.

Re: I love Flowers

Stunning, and lovely vibrant colors. I like to take flower pics too, just in my garden mostly; color is not as nice as those. But I'm not a serious photographer, have a little Nikon point-and-shoot camera.
