Wish me luck

I have a study day today and have to complete my last assignment for university (Practice Teaching for Health Professionals at masters level).

It is only a 2000 word assignment but it is about ethical dilemmas that teaching within (nursing) practice poses and what strategies I would use to meet the student's learning needs.

I am just about to make an extra large cup of coffee and then I am starting. I read somewhere that a good student can write 2000 quality, fully referenced words in a day. I am about to test that theory.........

Will report back this evening.

Re: Wish me luck

Damn - I can't be a good student. Only got half way there. Still I am happy with what I have written so far. Must be my middle aged brain.

And yes Antibrown, my whole argument is that the patient is central in what we do (including listening to them) and the primary concern (of nurses) is to protect them from harm by observing the prima facie principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, justice and above all respect for autonomy. This comes above the needs of the student to learn, but I must also find other strategies to facilitate their learning.

Top message is patients come first!!! Always have, always will.
