Windhound I will bear that in mind. It is just that I would hate to take on some rescue chookies and then be too inexperienced to give them the care they would need, particularly as I am only planning to have half a dozen or so.

Well folks, just in case you thought I had forgotten all about my chookies - the henhouse and run are now in my back garden and being set up and fox-proofed!

Won't be long now before my chookies are in residence!
