A couple of years ago I remember reading (on Dogsey I think) about an advertisement aimed specifically at dogs . It contained high pitched sounds detectable to dog but not human ears.

I will go for dogs

The answer is 'dogs'
Well done Meg - seems you have the answer - we couldn't figure what the question meant at all. We're saying 'well, there was Bonio, Winalot, in the 60s ! - so what is it with this question !' We were getting a bit riled, as it didn't make sense
So - a high pitched sound, for what reason I wonder, did the dogs rush to the screen yelping 'I want some - I want some'

I was just going to answer the same as Meg. The reason they
said it was for Dogs was the fact that they had put a dog whistle
in the advert and that made the dogs look at the TV screen.
Good eh!!!!!

I was going to say dogs too - many of us on Dogsey waited to watch it when it aired

We get TV advertisements over here of politicians advertising themselves, called party political broadcasts, the difference is they are aimed specifically at sheep and not dogs.
