My brother and his family went as they do every single year. My nephew is obsessed with steam engines and always has been. They all had a wonderful time as well.

I had to feed their cat whilst they were away. Lovely photos

Those are lovely photos. Love the horses! Must have been great to see all those lovely engines!

Wonderful!! Is that Carter's Steam Fair in the background? I think I recognize those gallopers and the helter-skelter . . .

*edit to say, I bet the traffic grinds to a halt for weeks with all those slow-moving traction engines coming and going

Oh yes Yola - we are a noted traffic black spot early in September
I don't remember who the Gallopers are - there is certainly a name attached to them but whether Carters or not? Hmmm(don't think so)

There'even an old fashioned 'Come & have a go' boxing tent, should the menfolk be so inclined!

LOL! We were at our Carters Fair the other weekend and OH wouldn't even have a go on the hit-the-peg-with-the-hammer-and-ring-the-bell thingy . . . wuss
