Bluebells

As its Bluebell time I thought I'd post a few of my favourite photos taken over the years

Re: Bluebells

I adore bluebells and, many years ago, my husband I walked about mile or so to the woods near the Heinz cannery.

It was springtime and lots of wild flowers were out, including bluebells, so I dug some up, including some other wild flowers. Well I didn't know it was illegal to do that as I meant them no harm, but planted them in my own garden when I got home.

Beautiful photos, Marian.

Re: Bluebells

Thanks Mollie. When I lived in Oxon, I was about a mile away from some woods which were full of wildflowers including orchids. At this time of year it used to get busy with people coming to look at the bluebells

Thanks AB, you'll have to post some of yours! I expect you'll have seen them at Rannerdale?

Re: Bluebells

Something happened in my Garden a few years ago regarding Bluebells that to this day remains a mystery.
We buried my MIL ashes in our Garden. The following year my Husband told me to go and look at the area as it was full of Bluebells that were not in the garden before. Now they are everywhere out there.......the point is that Bluebells were my MIL favourite flower.Sometimes things happen in life we just cannot explain can we.

Re: Bluebells

Beautiful! We don't have them here, at least not growing wild like that. The second pic has such a magical quality.
