Just love that!

Mags the rich donate to charity to get Tax benefits.
He is already a multi millionaire and will be earning in excess of £200 million a year, in my opinion that is a bit over the top.

Re: Sir Andy Murray?????

Typical... most of the country is cheering for Andy Murray. He wins - a huge cheer goes up - the first British mens champion for 77 years. What wappens next ? People start whinging if anyone suggests he should be honoured for his achievements and dedication. People moan about the amount of money he can make.

What's wrong with celebrating success? Would you prefer a nation of glorious failures?

Well done Andy. You worked hard and you deserve the rewards.

Yes he worked hard and he 'will' reap the rewards .....
I feel for the people that work equally as hard - for little reward ...

Don't see why not! He is the first British male player to win Wimbeldon in 77 years and no reason why he shouldn't be recognised! Other sports people get it - why not oor Andy! He deserved to win!

Re: Sir Andy Murray?????

Actually, I don't think that a Knighthood is generally appropriate for sportsmen and women (or rock musicians). If they dedicated their lives to thier profession and promoted it, that would be different. It's a bit like people writing their Autobiographies when they're still in their 20's!

I think that his achievement should be recognised, but maybe Andy Murray and others of his age should wait till history judges them to be worthy of the highest honours.

Give him an OBE for the time being.

Re: Sir Andy Murray?????

It is this sort of hero worship that makes some well paid sports people such prima donnas.
