Being from Leeds but having to live somewhere else due
to the circumstances of life, I still go back there regularly.
The weather generally is about 2 degrees colder than it is in
the South and we get some wet watter from Lancashire.
That doesn't deter people from Yorkshire having a very friendly
disposition and everyone who comes to visit or live in Yorkshire
are overcome by the forthright neighbours they get. The old saying was that it took three generations to become a Yorkshire lass or lad
could still be true but the welcome is still a good one.

Yes Patsy it is and it's right on the edge of the moors. You can actually go into the parsonage and look around which is where the Bronte sisters lived with their father, also see the church where he was pastor. The pub their brother used to frequent and get very drunk is still there too. Lovely cobbled streets as well.

I live in Milton Keynes, or rather a small market town on the southern outskirts called Bletchley and I've lived in this area since 1972.I like it where I live as it suits me and my wife and most of our family but we do all get very peeved at the constant criticism of Milton Keynes in general, the vast majority of which is usually from people who do not live here and it's b****y unfair!
We've got excellent shopping facilities, a 1st Class road network, decent rail services, we're 48 miles from London and you can get to a major motorway to there or anywhere else from most places in MK in minutes!
It's city living in the Buckinghamshire countryside! stevmk2
