What about the man with a stone who came round to sharpen the knives, oh yes and the man from the Prudential who used to walk in the house and get the money for the insurance. You could trust people in those days.

Yes, and not forgetting old sceptic knuckles, the rent man! You could leave the book and money and sideboard and he'd go in to help himself if you were out. Can't do that these days.

Corona was a company that made pop rather like R Whites Appleade was probably the cider type fizzy drink I can remember. I still buy the same sort of thing from Tesco.

Does anybody remember a bleach called Pinnacle? It came in a brown, ridged bottle - ridged so that blind people knew not to drink it.

Don't remember that first bleach I remember was Parazone, my mum called all bleach Parazone just like all vacuum cleaners were Hoovers.

I seem to remember as a child everything being cleaned with Ajax or Vim cos they contained bleach. Mum always put Tide in the washing up water dishwashing liquid was not for us.

I still use Vim now, much prefer it for cleaning the sink...
