They've arrived - they don't look as bad as I anticipated but they are a bit 'thread bare' in patches poor things. And they have given me 3 eggs in 12 hours!!!!! More photos as I get time.

They will be so happy. How many hens did you get? I am still thinking about getting some, I already have a hen house just need the run!

I haven't named them so any suggestions will be gratefully received.

5 eggs in 24 hours - not bad. They seem to have settled in and are definitely finding some kind of pecking order.


I got 6 hens all together.

I like old fashioned names for hens: Matilda, Martha, Millicent, Mabel ....
