Lets hope it passes you by AnnieJ, Have been listening to the news Eileen and thinking about you. During the war when we lived in Manchester my Grannie had a small bed under the stairs for me and the rest of them sat under the table during air raids, could you and the Cat sit under the table maybe, Annie.

Bright morning, quite windy and a chilly 15C. Heavy rain shower this afternoon. Temp. dropping to 14C tomorrow supposedly..might need the bed socks tomorrow night!!!

Bucketed down all morning and we were supposed to be going to Beaulieu Park today with a free family ticket I won. Braved it and drove off in the rain which stopped as soon as we arrived and lashed down again on the way home. Nice one!

I don't think we'll see anything from the hurricane here, though parts of Quebec have heavy rainfall warnings.

Friends of mine in Rhode Island on the east coast posted some storm photos 2 hours ago but I think their power has been knocked out now.

A bit coolish this morning, only 21 C (69 F) when I got up! Warmed a bit now, nearing 11:45 am at 24 C, but cloudy.

Rain overnight, not that we needed any more after the hurricane; then cloudy most of the day and never warmed above 28 C (82 F); August was cooler than normal and September is starting out that way ...

Nice normal forecast Eileen - we don't need any more severe weather! Sunny and warm here today with a mild breeze. I've noticed leaves starting to fall...
