I don't think about Christmas until December 1st, apart from making the cake at the end of October. I make my artwork cards for close friends and family, but buy the rest. If I could give money as pressies, like my mother does, I would, as it saves the hassle of Christmas shopping, but our children and grandchildren like something to open on the day, so I have to bite the bullet. I must admit these days I am glad when it is all over and done with. At least I don't have to cater for the whole family on Christmas Day. We spend the day with our Vicar daughter, I do the cooking whilst she conducts her monring service. We have succulent chiclen breasts instead of turkey these days, so much quicker to cook and you don't have to eat it for ever more, which is boring. I like to get back to normal fayre a.s.a.p.

I| refuse to think about it yet.I thought about next Christmas after last Christmas and bought a few things for pressis to keep in the drawers under the bed. Each year I say it will be different next year - but it never is no matter how hard I try. I| am such a pushover.
