Not too cold and dry here after a night of storms. The Wife was awake most of the night with earache (one of the worst types of pain in my book) and I decided to make her porridge and toast and bring it up to her while she had a sleep in. I can't cook anything so it was a complete disaster, she said the porridge was lumpy and the toast was burnt!. I said 'Darling', I always call her that when she's annoyed, it makes her worse, Darling the goodness is in the lumps and the toast is not burnt, it's just well done. she threw her slipper at me and told me to get f...ing out. Her earache is gone and she's back to normal.

jemflux, tell her about all the benefits of charcoal, I saw an old lady on tv who is over 100 years old and she eats a piece of burned toast everyday for the antioxidant benefits.I was up at 2am bringing in the laundry before it ended up in the next county or even country. The rain is raining and the wind is blowing it sounds like a horror film around here. The dog refuses to go out and I don't blame him.
