I cannot sleep in the day time; never nap. My Dad always had an afternoon nap after he retired.

It was so hot during the night that I was very restless and couldn't sleep ...... that was with the fan on all night too!

Same here Mags......unfortunately I cannot get to sleep with the fan on-quite noisy really. Heard the Hatti girl padding about so at 2.30 am got up and went into garden-not much cooler in there either! Then opened the windows wide and watched the clock moving to 4am-must have fell asleep after that. Hoping it may be cooler tonight.......can always live in hope

There's nothing worse than tossing and turning all night at the best of times but with the added heat it's 10 time worse! I could do with a tent in the garden!

Couldn't cope with a tent Mags.....would lie awake all night watching out for creepy crawlies, moths, worms etc. etc.-prefer to be hot in bed than put up with those little critters....!!!!!!!!!!

Zip a sleeping bag up to your chin and put a net over your face and you'd be fine, Merz!

Woke up at 0430 hours this morning, just too hot in the house. Opened rear door & heard a beautiful chorus of birds singing! Wow, was that nice!!

That's another thing I dislike about Winter: you never hear the birds singing.
